Account Executive
Atakama is a NYC-based software company that specializes in building innovative cybersecurity products. Atakama’s flagship Browser Security Platform is designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), empowering MSPs with a platform that ensures their clients remain secure from the ever increasing browser-born threats.
Atakama is seeking an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented Account Executive who will have a significant impact on our growth.
Role
As an Atakama Account Executive, you will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer. You will be focused on selling directly to MSPs, and be responsible for building, managing, and closing a pipeline of new business opportunities in the US market. This is an entry-to-mid level new business sales position with significant opportunities for growth; Atakama has a strong track record of internal progression and promotions. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to building a career in sales, fueled by the excitement of picking up the phone and generating new business opportunities, and who is genuinely interested in emerging technology. While previous MSP sales experience is desired, we are seeking a positive, ambitious individual who is willing to learn while bringing a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, work ethic, and leadership to the table every day. The position involves daily interaction with new MSP prospects, qualifying opportunities into our pipeline and ultimately closing the deals. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and service-oriented abilities. This is a great position for anyone interested in taking their sales career to the next level, as well as the fast-paced world of start-ups & cybersecurity.
Location: Flexible (NYC or remote) with travel requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and execute a comprehensive new business sales strategy to close new MSP logos
- Build and oversee an accurate sales forecast for your territory
- Ongoing business networking throughout the MSP industry including conferences, communities, and related organizations
- Build rapport and establish long-term business relationships with key executives and senior decision-makers within the MSP industry in the US
- Maintain Salesforce.com accuracy, including pipeline management, meeting notes, product feedback, and competitive intelligence
- Ultimate responsibility is to achieve territory quota

Critical Skills/Abilities:
- 1-5 years of experience in a sales/business development position
- Demonstrated and consistent outperformance of sales targets
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely motivated and driven
- Thrive in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment
- Extensive experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, and other sales-enablement technologies
- Familiarity with the cybersecurity industry a plus
- Experience selling into MSPs is preferred but not a requirement
Nuts-and-bolts
This is a fully remote position. For those who prefer an office environment, you may work from our midtown New York City office. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
