Senior Software Engineer

Location: New York / Remote 

We are a software startup that specializes in developing innovative cybersecurity products. We are seeking a skilled and experienced software engineer for our flagship product, a browser security platform designed for Managed Service Providers (MSP), that empowers MSPs to achieve their goals more efficiently.  

As a Senior Software Engineer at Atakama, you will work alongside a dedicated group of developers to architect and build various product features. We embrace the agile methodology and encourage creative and adaptive teamwork to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of critical features
• Enforcement and creation of code standards
• Code reviews and standards enforcement

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or 4+ years of professional experience or equivalent practical experience 
• Proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS, React, SQL databases (ideally PostgreSQL) 
• Self-motivation and willingness to extend and improve an established code base 
• Strong communication skills and the willingness to collaborate with others 
• Proficiency with Git and Jira
